Will a class be rescheduled if cancelled due to inclement weather, technical issues, or instructor's illness?
Any cancelled classes will be added to the end of the calendar schedule which would then extend the date of the last class.
What if my student has to miss a class?
Online Spanish classes will be recorded, so if a student misses a class, I will send the student a link of the recording. This link is NOT to be shared without prior permission from me.
If your student misses an in-person class, I will email the student any vocabulary words missed that day along with their homework assignment. (Conversational Spanish I)
Can your Spanish course be counted as a high school credit?
According to the author of the Spanish curriculum I use for this class, it covers approximately 1/3 of a year of high school Spanish.
How do you handle misbehavior?
If a student misbehaves or is disruptive during the class, I will notify the parent via email. If the misbehavior continues for more than three classes, the student will be removed from the class.
What is your refund policy?
Fall classes: You may request a refund up until September 7, 2021, minus a $25 processing fee. There are no refunds after this date.
What are student expectations?
Students are expected to participate in class, take notes, study their vocabulary flashcards daily (a link to the flashcards will be provided), and do their homework.
What platform will be used for the online class?
We will be using Zoom and Google Classroom, so you will need a Google account.
Do you provide a letter grade for this class?
I do not provide a letter grade for tihs class, however, if your student is having any difficulties with the class, I will let you know via email.
